My favourite place

My favourite place in the Canary Islands is La Laguna. It is situated at the north-east of Tenerife. A long  time ago it was the capital of Tenerife but some years later Santa Cruz became the capital. In 1999 UNESCO declared La Laguna world heritage Site. In La Laguna you can do many activities like going shopping, visitin the historical centre, meeting friends... It is a very intereting city, lively and sometimes busy.There are a lot of old museums like Casa Lercaro, old building from XVI and XVII century.There are also many restaurants, tascas around and there are a lot of parks and sports centres too. If you like hiking there are natural Green áreas near La Laguna. And for these reasons, if you want to travel and enjoy you must go to La Laguna.

EL PUERTO DE LA CRUZ

-El Puerto de la Cruz is a beautiful town,    visited by lots of people from different points  of Europe, in the north of the island of  Tenerife, in Canary Islands. Tourists of all  ages, but specially most of them retired  people, spend their holidays in this village. Its  interesting sites are:

       

  

Lago Martiánez

It's a complex of swimming pools designed by the  famous artist of Lanzarote (also in the Canary Islands) César Manrique.

Loro Park

It's another important place of El Puerto de la Cruz, and it's a very funny 

animal park with amazing shows. You

 can see sharks, tigers, dolphins and 

many other animals inside. Even 

people from other islands come 

here to see Loro Park.

-Although these ones are the most special things of this town, you can do many other nice  activities like: walking around the pedestrian streets near to the sea, going shopping with your  friends, going to the beach in a sunny and warm day, visiting more interesting sites and of  course, having much fun.
